Hotels of Thailand
I visited Thailand many times. Usually I chose hotels using Agoda and Booking.com. Generally speaking, Room rates in Thailand are more reasonable than any other countries. Their way of services and quality of foods are nice. People working at the hotels are very polite and sincere. I enjoy the stay the hotels truly every time.
The followings are my highlight of the hotel stays in Thailand.
<Bangkok> ‘The Peninsula” is one of the best in everything among the hotels I have stayed in Bangkok. Swimming pool is small but there are several excellent restaurants as French and Chinese. We tried both. The room was spacy and has a good view of the River.
<Kaho Lak> I visited there three years later than ‘Sumatra Tsunami’ in 2004. The hotel was ‘Le Meridian’. We reserved the room at the suite room. The days we stayed, a very large Indian group was staying for the big marriage reception. The hotel offered us the best villa in stead of the suite for the quiet and private stay. Also the small restaurant for the breakfast was opened for only a few guests including us. Two butlers worked for us for 24 hours. It must be our first and last chance to have such a high graded services.
<Hua-Hin> We stayed at ‘Evason Resort’ in Hua-Hin where has the summer resort of Thai Royal Family. The hotel has a large infinity pool as the main pool. They have many private villas with the private swimming pool. Beside the open air restaurant, they have Thai and Italian food restaurant. They are above the average.
Actually we stayed there with 10% (one 10th) of the regular room rate. It happened by the mistake of the reservation staff. I found it and declare to them, but the hotel wouldn’t charge us the regular rate. Thanks to them. 🙂
<Samui> Koh Samui is called the Coconut Island from its shape. We were in the Sixsense Hotel (Evason Hideaway), that locates on a north east point of the island. It has a nice view of the sea. Every villa has a good privacy.
<Koh Tao> “Dusit Buncha Resort” I visited Koh Tao (a tiny island two hours ride by a jet boat from Koh Samui). There are no famous hotels on the tiny island. Dusit Buncha is on a rocky hill facing to the sea. There are many stairs, which means not convenient for seniors and other people. It has a good view and access of Nangyuan Island.
<Phuket> I traveled to Phuket five times before. There are so many hotels in Phuket, though only a few has a private beech. One of the best is ‘the Impiana Cavana’ on the beech. It is not big (the room is very small) and has no big swimming pool, but we can access to the beech directly.
<Racha> ‘The Racha’ is on a small island which is one and a half hours away from Phuket by boat to the south. It’s very small island which has a nice diving spots. The hotel is facing to west. We can see the nice sunset every day. Hotel offers us scuba diving, surfing, the 4WD tour to go around the island through the hills and the beaches.
